The farmhouse  is about 4 km far from the historic center of Lucca, worldwide famous for its walls, on which you can walk in the shade of trees, for its unique Amphitheatre square and to be the birthplace of Giacomo Puccini. The old town is full of works of art, churches, museums and picturesque streets where you can go shopping or just wandering aimlessly.

In the surroundings  you can visit the numerous Villas of Lucca, with their huge gardens, and the Pinocchio Park, in Collodi. You can easily visit Montecatini Terme, with its charming natural caves  A few kilometers away are the famous seaside resorts and beaches of Versilia, in particular in Viareggio and Forte dei Marmi, where you can spend days on the beach and nights in the many discos.

Easily accessible is also Garfagnana, the Serchio valley, the mountain area of the province of Lucca, with its many small quaint villages and its important medieval towns: Castelnuovo di Garfagnana, Barga, Castelvecchio Pascoli, Borgo a Mozzano and its beautiful "Ponte della Maddalena"(called the "Devil bridge"), Bagni di Lucca, with the famous natural spa, offering holistic and natural treatments.
For those who love the caves, there are the Wind Cave or the Cave of Corchia. Noteworthy is also the Orechiella Park, where among  the many present species of animals, we  can also find the wolf.

You can take a trip to the Apuane Alps and the Carrara's Marble Quarries, so famous because it was the same marble used by Michelangelo; Pisa with its famous leaning tower, the charming river Arno and its international airport; Florence, the cradle of the Renaissance, with its numerous museums and artworks; the Cinque Terre, a unique and magical place with its colorful villages overlooking the sea.
